Moat Farm Riding Centre is a family run riding centre. It first opened to the public as a Riding Centre in 2006 and our aim today is the same as the day we opened. We encourage children to bond with ponies, enjoy riding and embrace the healthy outdoor lifestyle in a friendly atmosphere and pleasant surroundings in beautiful Suffolk.
Moat Farm Riding Centre is situated on the outskirts of the village of Lawshall, between the historic town of Bury St Edmunds and the market town of Sudbury in Suffolk.
We cater for riders from the age of 4 years old, introducing the children to the world of ponies in a safe environment. We excel in teaching the beginner or novice rider through to the most confident, competitive rider and we are renowned for our confidence giving coaching especially aimed at the nervous rider. Our riders are grouped according to ability and to ensure everyone is learning we have a maximum of 3 riders per group. We are also a Pony Club Centre giving children the opportunity to become Pony Club Members.
Moat Farm Riding Centre offers taster horse riding lessons as well as Escorted Hacking, Pony Parties and Gift Vouchers.
We are a nationally recognised Pony Club Centre, open to all, offering the opportunity to make great friends, learn about pony care and riding and generally enjoy the experience of being around the ponies.
You are welcome to come down to our yard to meet our friendly team, say hello to all the horses, check out our facilities and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Complimentary tea and coffee is always on hand so come along for a visit and see what we have to offer.
